In 1823, Berger produced an absinthe in Neufchâtel, Switzerland. The 1915 prohibition banned its production. In 1923, Berger converted, starting from a factory in Marseille, to producing the first Berger aniseed aperitif. Berger joined the Marie Brizard group in 1995.
Bernot Frères is a fuel trading company that operates about fifteen depots in the Paris region. Bernot Frères invented the Boulet Bernot, made of coal particles agglomerated with a binder. It was a great success.
