Creation of the association: Leonetto Cappiello International For Arts

On September 5, 2025, the Leonetto Cappiello International Centre for Arts – LCICA was officially founded in Livorno, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the work and artistic legacy of Leonetto Cappiello, a major figure in poster design and modern visual communication.

Objectives and missions

The LCICA pursues cultural and educational objectives through activities of general interest:

  • to promote and enhance the work and legacy of Leonetto Cappiello;

  • disseminate artistic culture and visual communication, in particular through educational and training initiatives;

  • organize exhibitions, competitions, prizes, events and cultural initiatives;

  • collaborate with museums, universities, schools and public and private institutions;

  • to collect, preserve and digitize archives, documents and works by Cappiello, in order to safeguard and disseminate them;

  • encourage dialogue between art, communication and contemporary innovation;

  • promote the creation of a permanent Poster Museum in Livorno, dedicated to the graphic arts and advertising, in keeping with the Italian and international tradition of visual design.

An international mission to preserve Cappiello’s legacy

The Leonetto Cappiello International Centre for Arts aspires to become an international reference platform for the study, preservation and dissemination of the art of the poster and visual communication, in the innovative spirit of Leonetto Cappiello.
Its action is part of an open vision, linking memory, research, contemporary creation and technological innovation.
