  • Genoa's Palazzo Farraggiana, built around 1820, was located between the railway station and the ferry terminal. It was bought by the Società Transatlantica to enable its wealthy clientele to stay in a luxury hotel when transferring from train to ship.
    The Arab rider and his horse is probably a nod to the fantasias and North African cruises of the Società Transatlantica.

  • Table oil "Dulcine" manufactured by the Établissements Rocca, Tassy and de Roux in Marseille.

  • The "Printemps Hausmann" store was inaugurated on April 4, 1910. It was intended to double the existing store. In 1909, a slogan appeared in advertising catalogs: "Les magasins du Printemps sont les plus élégants de Paris."

  • The company Isolabella & Figlio is based in Milan. Founded in 1870, it will market many aperitifs and spirits, including "Mandarinetto", a tonic aperitif, "High Life", white vermouth, and especially "Amaro", a 18-herb liqueur.
