The Société Française des Nouvelles Galeries Réunies, founded in 1899, operated numerous department stores throughout France. This was the case with the Grandes Galeries Modernes in Agen, the Galeries Orléanaises in Orléans, and the Nouvelles Galeries in Nemours. This chain of stores joined the Galeries Lafayette Group in 1983. It is worth noting that the Galeries Orléanaises belonged to the Paris brothers in 1904.

The House of Nuyens and Co. in Bordeaux was founded in 1802. It is exclusively dedicated to the production of superfine liqueurs intended for export. It was one of the first to promote and popularize the consumption of peppermint in the form of liqueur or essence.
