The works

  • 1858, creation of the Mounier and Company house for the production of brandy in Segonzac near Cognac. In 1874 the founder, Henri Mounier, specialized in the trading of cognac and created Henri Mounier & Cie. In 1947 he created the Prince Hubert de Polignac brand. Today the Henri Mounier company continues to grow.

  • In 1832, Thomas Naltet and his wife, née Menand, took over a distillery in Chalon-sur-Saône. He had the idea of steeping sloes in aged spirits. It was in 1842 that Prunelle Naltet was born. It was packaged in a stoneware jug from La Dheune. The success was immediate. During the war, this jug was reused as a hot water bottle. Today, the sloe liqueur is still sold in gourmet shops.
