Peppermint alcohol. In 1837, Doctor Pierre Mussot founded a small peppermint alcohol business in Asnières. Its growth led him to establish a factory in Nanterre, surrounded by an 80-hectare plot where he cultivated the mint needed for his products. In 1914, it became the Forvil cologne factory.
Herring and mackerel preserves manufactured by the company L. Bouclet in Boulogne s/mer. The Bouclet company, founded in 1894, was the first to equip steam herring boats. It thus contributed to the economic growth of Boulogne-sur-Mer.
