• A first maquette was made for sparkling wine. Then the bottle was replaced by a Cinzano bottle painted separately on a piece of paper and slightly glued on top.
  • The Enghien-les-Bains casino near Paris was established in 1901. It was converted into a military hospital in 1914 and resumed its operations in 1920.
  • The anise "Amourette" was created by the Ariste Hémard distillery in Montreuil near Paris to replace absinthe, which was banned in 1915.
  • Second sketch for the "Grand bal au casino de Monte-Carlo au profit de la 'Femme et l'Enfant'" (see first sketch).
  • In the initial sketch, the woman is holding up a perfume bottle (see black and white photo). In this painted photo, the perfume has been replaced by an aperitif.
  • Cider. This sketch, as shown in the black and white photo, was initially created for sparkling wine. Cappiello simply changed the champagne glasses into cider glasses.

  • Venchi biscuits In 1878, Silviano Venchi opened a chocolate workshop in Turin. He made a name for himself with his famous Nougatine. Since then, Venchi has gone from strength to strength, producing not only chocolates but also caramels. The company is now international, with 120 shops in 70 countries.
  • Rhum Saint Paul. At the bottom of the work is written: "out of gluttony... / out of hygiene...".
