Since then, Venchi has gone from strength to strength, producing not only chocolates but also caramels. The company is now international, with 120 shops in 70 countries.

  • The Belgian company Cida was founded in 1907. It was sold to the Dutch company Kwatta in 1913. Cida brand chocolates were marketed until the end of the 1930s.

    The word strega translates to "witch" in French.

  • The "Côte d'Argent" chocolate is made by the Ackermans chocolate factory in Liège. Ackermans was absorbed by Biscuiteries Paquot d'Ivoz-Ramet in the 1960s. Around 1974, Paquot went bankrupt and was taken over by Général Biscuit. The chocolate business was discontinued.
