To boost its men's clothing sales, Printemps created the brand "Brummell" in 1930.
Brummell was a refined and very elegant man at the court of King George IV of England. He is the epitome of a dandy. This marketing campaign was particularly successful. The brand still exists today.Radio set
1903: Creation of Desmet Establishments in Lille. They manufacture electrical equipment and wireless telegraphy.
1934: They have 3 factories in the north. Activity intensifies during the Second World War, first for the Allies, then for the Germans.
1940: It employs more than 500 workers.
November 1943: All machines are sabotaged by the resistance. Production stops. It resumes after the war producing transistors and televisions.
