In 1832, Thomas Naltet and his wife, née Menand, took over a distillery in Chalon-sur-Saône. He had the idea of steeping sloes in aged spirits. It was in 1842 that Prunelle Naltet was born. It was packaged in a stoneware jug from La Dheune. The success was immediate. During the war, this jug was reused as a hot water bottle. Today, the sloe liqueur is still sold in gourmet shops.
The Puget company, founded in 1857 in Marseille, began by exporting Provençal olive oil to South America. The packaging was only available in barrels or 5-liter cans. Thanks to its success, the company decided around 1930 to market it in bottles on the French market.
Today, Puget is one of the leading French olive oil brands.New winter collection at the Grands Magasins de Pygmalion located in Paris: boulevard de Sébastopol, rue Saint Denis and rue de Rivoli.
