Peppermint alcohol.
In 1837, Doctor Pierre Mussot founded a small peppermint alcohol business in Asnières. Its growth led him to establish a factory in Nanterre, surrounded by an 80-hectare plot where he cultivated the mint needed for his products. In 1914, it became the Forvil cologne factory.
Peppermint alcohol to dilute in a glass of water or put on a sugar cube. Ricqlès peppermint alcohol was widely used by the soldiers during the Great War to treat all kinds of ailments.
In 1910, the English company opened its first boutique in France, on Boulevard Hausmann in Paris. In 1924, it set up a production unit in the Paris suburbs.
