This sketch, as shown in the black and white photo, was initially created for sparkling wine. Cappiello simply changed the champagne glasses into cider glasses.

The distillation of eaux de vie into liqueurs began in Hendaye in the seventeenth century. But the real industrial start came in 1900 with the creation of Izarra in 1904.
