The Alimentation de Provence company experienced considerable growth during the First World War because it had secured the monopoly on corned-beef imports for the French army. After the war, it diversified into charcuterie with high-quality products such as Saucisson Mireille.
“On the steamers of the Misr Alexandrie Gênes Marseille line and vice versa / Embark for Egypt in an Egyptian atmosphere”. Société Misr de Navigation Maritime operated a single line with two ships: El Nil and Kawsar.
