The Ibled chocolate factory was founded in 1824. In 1852 a factory was established in Mondicourt in the Pas de Calais. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the Chocorêve brand was created.

A sketch was made for the L'Aurole d'Or chocolate manufactured in Paris by Alfred Labouesse & Cie (See black and white photo).
Two chocolate makers merged in 1845 in Turin and founded the Caffarel - Prochet company. They became famous by creating the famous Gianduiotto in 1852. Caffarel chocolates are now sold in more than 40 countries.
