Given the dominant colors green, white, and red, one naturally thinks of an Italian liqueur. But the ribbons around the bottle are blue, white, and red, so the liqueur could be French.
The International Exhibition of Decorative Arts was held in Paris at the Grand Palais, from April 28 to October 25, 1925. A farewell evening was organized on November 7 for the benefit of charitable works.
This sketch was made for the dye "La Kabiline" produced by the Legris Company in Versailles. Not having been sold, it was offered to the Guimet dyes. Finally, it was adapted for Dupont d'Isigny who preferred a different design.
